Do It Now

By taking action, you’re effectively walking your talk. You’re not only respecting your desires by acting on them, you’re also affirming to yourself and the world that you:

1. Know what you want

2. Believe that you will get it, as your actions imply that you are investing your time and energy into living your vision

3. Know that how you act informs how you feel, and vice versa, in a positive feedback loop that returns to you more of what you want (as identified by what you think about, focus on, perceive, surround yourself with)

Take action and put your world in motion. You don’t have to do everything yourself! Just try something and take the first step that you see is within your reach. Everything you do counts.

The smallest thing counts. Exponential growth begins with a mere 2 cents, and this article is mine. (Notice also that the initial investment is your responsibility, and the ripple effects take care of themselves. So make sure that what you put out there is a quality stone. Throw something out there that is aligned with what you want! And if you don’t know exactly what you want, do what makes you feel good/is good for you/good for others/good for the world at large. One and all. That is, don’t sit and eat icecream to make yourself feel happy for 20 minutes; instead, hop on your sexy tricycle or go for a walk through some naturally bright areas and see what’s going on in the world. Observe and appreciate your surroundings.)

Who knows when inspiration will strike….

Or rather, don’t wait for inspiration, choose to be inspired anyway. My runner friend runs no matter what. She doesn’t always feel like running when it’s dark outside and -50 and she’s sick and her blisters have blisters… but in her mind, running is non-negotiable. There’s no question that she’s going to run 6 miles 6 times a week. She looks at you in disbelief if you so much as hint at the possibility of skipping a run to go watch a movie instead. Running is important to her and she does it BECAUSE it is hard and she loves the results. When she first started, she could barely jog a kilometre. She didn’t quit; she kept at it, and now she runs 26 miles and qualified for the Boston marathon on her first marathon run. She does the thing that is hard–she CHOOSES it, and her life becomes easy in all areas. She has equipped herself with the strength of mind and the discipline to do anything. Simply knowing this gives her a quiet confidence and an unbeatable self-esteem.

Be like this. Keep your vision for yourself at the front of your mind and focus on it in all that you do. Think of something you know you can do now that moves you along in living the life you want, and make it non-negotiable.

I love this reminder Note from the Universe:

Just do it.

Everything you need to know, you know, and everything you need to have, you have. Everything!

Time and space is a primitive school. There are bigger challenges “out there”, bigger adventures, and lots more friends, but you gotta do what you gotta do, here and now. You gotta live the truths you’ve discovered, apply the principles, and never again think, “Why isn’t it working?”, “It’s hard.”, “I don’t know.”, because such thoughts are like hitting the replay button for whatever you’ve just been through.

Look ahead with your dreams in mind and give thanks, because you know exactly what to do.

Phew… feel better?

I love smoothies. If you enjoy this site (or if you despise it and want me to pack up and go do something else), be a smoothie and donate today to my smoothie foundation. All contributions ($3, $17, $68?!) appreciated and applied to this site or some other exciting endeavour in the form of smoothie-powered focus. Thanks.
