Summary: Consciousness defines Being. What you think about and what you expect shape the limits of who you are and how you express yourself. Your expression isn’t who you are. Your expression is what you are choosing to allow and to experience at any moment. To have something is to be in vibrational resonance with the energy of that thing. You get what you’re looking for because to perceive something is to be aware of it, and to be aware of it means that the something is part of your vibration already.
As an example mindset: someone who is wealthy and generous would feel secure and grateful for the many ways in which they can comfortably express their appreciation and enjoyment of this life and the lives of loved ones. Choose a mindset that the person you want to become has, and others will respond to you as a person of your chosen mindset.
Resonance defined:
- a condition in which the frequency of an external force matches the natural frequency of the object it is acting upon whyfiles.larc.nasa.gov/text/kids/Problem_Board/problems/sound/glossary.html
- the state of a system in which an abnormally large vibration is produced in response to an external stimulus, occurring when the frequency of the stimulus is the same, or nearly the same, as the natural vibration frequency of the system.

- in physics, resonance is the tendency of a system to absorb more oscillatory energy when the frequency of the oscillations matches the system’s natural frequency of vibration (its resonant frequency) than it does at other frequencies.

- the principle of natural law which relates to that degree of alignment of two or more centers of consciousness with one another The vibrational synchronicity of two or more centers of consciousness. www.eoni.com/~visionquest/library/glossary.html
Like a mirror, the physical appearance is the reflection of your inner state. As above, so below; as within, so without. The physical appearance is the effect; the mind is the cause. Still, the physical influences the mental by your attention to your surroundings. What you give your attention to, you perpetuate.
All is a reflection of your inner state. You receive signals and your brain translates these frequencies of vibration into sensations of colours, sounds, visuals, feelings. We see the shadows on the wall. To change the shadows, the appearance of things, you must change the way in which you perceive the world; you must change yourself. By changing your brain, your physiology, and by changing the way that you interpret ideas and thoughts and take action, you become the person you want to be.
Think about it. You are what you eat. You can only form your life and your mental images from the materials available to you. You can choose to give yourself anything from potato chips to asparagus, and you will experience the effects of whatever you choose. Likewise, all thoughts are available to you; choose the thoughts that create what you want. Choose the thoughts that make you strong of mind. And, use your imagination to create mental images of the conditions you feel most alive in, based upon your experiences physically.
What kind of a person are you when you are the person you want to be? How do others interact with you as you are doing the sorts of things you get up excited to do in the morning? What smiles do you share with your friends when they experience the you that is most effortless, like an open channel letting the life energy express itself through you?
Everything you need is here for you. All you have to do, is figure out what it is that you want. As a general statement, the happiest people are those who are immersed in creating something in the world, while those most unhappy are the overly introspective seekers who do nothing but contemplate their navel all day. Happiness is a byproduct of BEING–by DOING what you love.
Okay, and what do you want? Well, this is where your intuition comes in. Your subconscious mind factors in a heck of a lot more than your conscious mind even knows about you. In other words, you know more than you think you know. That gut feeling, that intuitive pull to say yes or no or take action, is the influence of your genius. As James Hillman writes, “Our freedom, it seems, consists only in opting for what the acorn [the seed of your daimon] intends.” Now for some good and bad news. The bad news is that most people don’t get what they want. The good news is, they don’t get what they want, simply because they don’t know what they want. So, KNOW WHAT YOU WANT and know why you want it and you’re almost there….
Having a vision and a reason to focus your attention is the key to persisting and being who you want. A vision of why you want something carries much more power and effects movement faster than the passing thought of, “I want a million bucks; that’d be nice.” How about, “I want to purchase a piece of land and start an animal sanctuary to care for injured and displaced wild animals as they rehabilitate, and allow children to visit and learn about wildlife, etc.” Have a vision that is worthy of you, and fall in love with it. Love is the most addicting thing in the world.
You give your attention to what you love.
You focus on what you love.
You attract what you love.
Surround yourself with people you like, because their thoughts and actions will be part of your consciousness when you’re with them. What you perceive, persists in your world. Keep your vibration in tune with what you love! That is, surround yourself with people, ideas, music, work, anything that excites you and inspires you.
Living from the Answer (Rewriting the Reality Code by Gregg Braden)
I was feeling the joy of what it feels like to accomplish the act, rather than all of the things that must happen before I could be successful. This simple example offers a powerful analogy for precisely the way that consciousness seems to work. And this is the great secret that has been protected and preserved for us in wisdom of our past. From the monasteries of Egypt and Tibet to the forgotten texts of our most cherished traditions we are reminded that we are part of, rather than separate from, the world around us. As part of everything we see, we have the power to participate — not control or manipulate — but to consciously chart the course of our lives and our world. Please don’t be deceived by the simplicity of contemporary philosopher Neville Goddard’s words when he suggests that all we need to do is to “assume the feeling of our wish fulfilled.” In a participatory universe of our own making, why would we expect that peace, healing, and a long and healthy life should be any more difficult?
Keep your mind on what you want. By thinking about what your highest self wants (the best expression of you), you will match your thoughts and behavior with your highest vision of yourself, and put your best self in charge of your personal and professional life:
Optimal visualization enables you to convey to your subconscious mind exactly what you want by using the best pictures and symbols and all of your senses. By giving yourself the optimal preview, the desired result becomes real and concrete and you prepare yourself to experience the best. You start to adjust yourself toward having what you want by incorporating it physically, emotionally, and mentally. Optimal visualization prepares you to reach your most desired goals. You deserve the best life has to offer! See yourself as all you can be. By giving yourself the optimal preview, the desired result becomes real and concrete and you condition yourself to be your best. You feel supremely competent, confident, and function with an optimal mindset.
Expect the Best
Having an expectant attitude tells all with whom we come into contact that we expect the best in our dealings with the world. We tend to live up to our expectations; We like our thoughts to match our actions and vice versa. Expect the best, and you will live your best.
So, look for the best in yourself and in others. Give others the benefit of the doubt yet don’t bother with those of petty minds. Focus on what will improve your position in life and increase your ability to do the things you love to do. Instead of worrying about the neighbours, devote an hour in the morning to brainstorming ways to improve your daily life.
