“The philosophy of Think and Grow Rich will prepare you to attract and enjoy all higher things in life (riches in lasting and quality relationships, understanding in business, health, wealth, inner harmony that brings peace of mind that is of immeasurable value), but only when you are ready for them.”
Think and Grow Rich is a hugely influential work, that is obvious. Napoleon Hill’s findings on the science of successful creation are as pertinent today as they were when he observed them in action and penned his book in the early 1900’s.
His observations are not new, but they are essential to the successful achievement of any undertaking. Simply: thoughts become things, so focus your mind upon that which you are wanting. Envision the outcome and then act as if it were impossible to fail. Easy to say, somewhat harder to put into practice. And this is what life is! To make real the imagined and experience the joys of learning what we want and then creating it, is what you do by living your life. Have fun and live consciously….
“When one is truly ready for a thing, it puts in its appearance.”
Yes. Every moment of my life I see this in action.
“Determine to remain ready until you get that which you are seeking. Never change your mind. Stick to your resolve.”
“An intangible impulse of thought can be transmuted into its physical counterpart. KNOW WHAT YOU WANT, BE DETERMINED TO STAND BY THAT DESIRE UNTIL YOU REALIZE IT.”
Done.
“One of the most common causes of failure is the habit of quitting when one is overtaken by temporary defeat. Every person is guilty of this mistake at one time or another.”
“Maybe young Barnes did not know it at the time, but his bulldog determination, his persistence in standing back of a single DESIRE, was destined to mow down all opposition, and bring him the opportunity he was seeking. When the opportunity came, it appeared in a different form, and from a different direction than Barnes had expected. That is one of the tricks of opportunity. It has a sly habit of slipping in by the back door, and often it comes disguised in the form of misfortune, or temporary defeat. Perhaps this is why so many fail to recognize opportunity.”
I don’t like the sounds of that back-door slippage…
